Ardex Proper is a highly effective alkaline wheel cleaner engineered for professional detailing, dealership reconditioning, fleet maintenance, and high-volume wheel cleaning applications. Designed to break down brake dust, road film, grease, dirt, and stubborn contaminants, Proper delivers aggressive cleaning performance without using hydrofluoric acid or other harsh acidic wheel cleaning agents.
Unlike many acid-based wheel cleaners that can damage sensitive finishes, Proper is formulated for use on OEM wheels, factory-coated mag wheels, chrome wire wheels, painted wheels, clear-coated wheels, and whitewall tires when used as directed. Its concentrated formula can be diluted up to 10:1, making it an economical solution for detail shops, dealerships, service departments, and commercial vehicle cleaning operations.
Proper is also highly effective at cleaning whitewall tires and removing discoloration, including stubborn blue dye residue commonly found on new whitewall surfaces. The fast-acting formula works quickly with minimal scrubbing while helping restore a cleaner factory appearance.
For best results, cool wheels with water before application. Spray evenly onto the wheel surface, allow 30–60 seconds of dwell time without allowing the product to dry, agitate if necessary, and rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use on hot wheels or in direct sunlight.
NOTE: This product is not intended for use on aftermarket supplied, non-coated, polished, anodized, or polished billet wheels. Always test in an inconspicuous area before full application.
